Happy Tuesday!! I did a video on sprouting today while I was at lunch 🙂 I had some people asking me how and asking where to buy sprouted lentils like I’ve been sprouting. I haven’t seen sprouted lentils for sale anywhere but that’s not to say that they don’t sell them somewhere. It’s actually super easy to do and you can make enough to have on hand for a few days. You don’t have to limit to sprouting to just lentil beans. You can also sprout grains like rice and quinoa, nuts and seeds and other beans. I got this awesome jar at Mother’s Market for $4-$5. I am not an expert but I have read many places that sprouting neutralizes the phytic acids and enzyme inhibitors in beans which make it hard for you to digest leaving you feeling bloated, super full, uncomfortable and gasy.. no one wants that. Since the enzyme inhibitors are broken down, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids are more available to you body and uses less energy to digest. This is good because you will have more energy to put towards other bodily functions like keeps your skin and hair beautiful and you also won’t feel tired after eating a meal 🙂 I always store my sprouts in the fridge after they’re done. Happy sprouting!
